The new James Bond game, 007 First Light, doesn't officially drop until May 27 - but players who paid the premium early access tax are already in, and some have already rolled credits. Because of course they have.

According to GameSpot, the entire cutscene library - including the final sequence - has been uploaded to YouTube. The specifics are being kept vague here out of respect for the rest of us still waiting in the lobby, but the ending apparently delivers a significant moment for Bond and very deliberately sets up what comes next.

A trilogy? In this economy?

Here's the thing - a sequel tease shouldn't shock anyone. Developers IO Interactive have apparently already confirmed they see this as the first chapter in a planned trilogy. So First Light isn't just a game, it's basically Episode One of the Bond origin cinematic universe, except you get to shoot people and probably drive something very fast.

IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman World of Assassination trilogy, clearly knows a thing or two about building a long-term narrative across multiple entries. Agent 47 fans will know exactly how that formula plays out - slow burn, methodical, and just enough story drip to keep you coming back for the next installment.

The real villain is early access spoilers

Look, early access is a double-edged sword. On one hand, superfans get to dive in ahead of the pack. On the other hand, the rest of us have to navigate YouTube's algorithm like it's a minefield for the next few days. One wrong autoplay recommendation and the whole thing unravels.

If you're planning to go in blind on May 27, maybe consider treating social media and YouTube like a no-fly zone until then. The mission briefing has been compromised, agents. Proceed with caution.

007 First Light launches for real on May 27, and if the ending is already generating this much chatter before the official release date, IO Interactive might have a genuine hit on their hands - and a very impatient fanbase already demanding that sequel.
