The UK charts have a new top dog, and it's wearing a tuxedo. According to Nintendo Life, 007 First Light has debuted straight at number one in its very first week, pulling off the classic newcomer speedrun to the top of the leaderboard.
Last week's chart champion, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, has been bumped down to second place. Two weeks in a row we've seen a fresh release swipe the crown on debut - someone out there is clearly not messing around with their day-one purchases.

What makes this even spicier for Nintendo fans is that both 007 First Light and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are confirmed to be heading to Switch 2 at some point. The bad news? Nintendo Life notes that we're all still waiting on updated release dates for both titles, which means Switch 2 owners are currently stuck in the waiting room like they've been put on hold by a very stylish secret agent.
Whether 007 First Light can hold onto that top spot next week remains to be seen - the charts are a brutal PvP arena, and new challengers respawn every Tuesday. Still, a number one debut is a number one debut, and right now Bond is the final boss of the UK retail scene.
Keep an eye out for those Switch 2 release date announcements, because at this rate, both of these chart-toppers could be fighting for pole position all over again on Nintendo's new hardware.
