SCS Software has announced Soul of Anatolia, a new expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 that pushes the game's already massive map further into Turkey. According to Rock Paper Shotgun, the DLC takes players well beyond the Balkans and into regions of Turkey that were previously off the trucking grid entirely.
Euro Truck Simulator 2's map has been steadily growing for years, with SCS consistently adding new European and surrounding territories to keep long-haul veterans coming back for more miles. Soul of Anatolia looks to continue that tradition by opening up a chunk of Anatolian terrain that gives the sim a distinctly different flavour compared to its Western European routes.

Turkey is already partially represented in ETS2, but this expansion digs deeper into the country's heartland - think rugged landscapes, new cities, and the kind of scenic variety that makes a 500km haul actually feel like a journey. Anatolia's geography is genuinely distinct, mixing mountainous terrain with vast open plains, which should translate well into fresh driving challenges for sim enthusiasts.

SCS has built a strong reputation for treating each regional expansion with real care, researching local road infrastructure and architecture to make each new territory feel authentic rather than copy-pasted. If Soul of Anatolia follows that pattern, fans can expect properly recreated Turkish highways and landmarks rather than a generic reskin.

No release date or pricing has been announced yet, but with the reveal now public, it's likely SCS will be sharing more details in the coming weeks. If you're the type of trucker who's already clocked thousands of hours and is hungry for new roads, this one's worth keeping on your radar.
