Microsoft has confirmed another wave of Game Pass departures, with nine titles set to leave the service on April 30, 2026. The news follows five games that already dropped off on April 15, bringing the total removals for the month to 14 - a notably heavy rotation cycle.
The upcoming cuts were actually spotted before any official announcement, with Pure Xbox catching the listings in the 'Leaving Soon' tab of the Xbox mobile app. Microsoft has since confirmed the departures.

What's leaving on April 30?
The outgoing lineup includes some genuinely well-regarded titles. Citizen Sleeper, the critically praised sci-fi narrative RPG, is among the losses - a real blow for anyone who hasn't gotten around to it yet. Also heading out the door are Goat Simulator, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, according to GameSpot.

The mix covers a pretty wide range of genres, from chaotic sandbox nonsense to a competitive extraction shooter, which means this wave will sting different corners of the Game Pass subscriber base in different ways.

The bigger picture on Game Pass churn
Monthly removals are a standard part of how Game Pass operates - licensing deals have expiration dates, and titles cycle in and out regularly. That said, 14 removals in a single month is worth keeping an eye on, especially as Microsoft continues to adjust Game Pass pricing tiers and value propositions heading further into 2026.
If any of these titles are on your backlog, the clock is ticking. Citizen Sleeper in particular is an easy recommendation to finish before it exits - it's a compact, story-driven experience that doesn't demand dozens of hours to see through to the end.
Microsoft has not yet announced what games will be joining Game Pass to offset these losses, but new additions are typically revealed in batches throughout the month.
