Two of PowerWash Simulator's most beloved crossover DLC packs are getting the axe. FuturLab has confirmed that both the FFVII Remake Midgar Special Pack and the Tomb Raider Special Pack will be delisted from the original game on May 19, 2026, according to Siliconera.
The reason comes down to business: Square Enix previously served as publisher for the first PowerWash Simulator, and that relationship has since ended. FuturLab self-published the sequel, which means the licensing agreements that made those crossover packs possible no longer extend into the future. Once they're gone, new players won't be able to grab them.
If you've already got the packs in your library, you should be fine - delisting typically means no new purchases rather than content being pulled from existing accounts. But anyone who's been sitting on the fence about scrubbing down Seventh Heaven or hosing off Croft Manor has a hard deadline now: May 19, 2026.
A farewell to free content
The original PowerWash Simulator launched with a surprisingly generous amount of free DLC collaborations during its run, and these Square Enix crossovers were highlights of that lineup. Cleaning iconic locations from Final Fantasy VII Remake and Tomb Raider was exactly the kind of absurd-but-charming content that helped the game build its devoted fanbase.
It's a bittersweet situation that's become increasingly common in the live service and DLC era. Licensing deals expire, publishing relationships shift, and content that was once freely available quietly disappears from storefronts. The May 2026 window does at least give players a reasonable runway to grab the packs before they vanish.
There's no word yet on whether similar crossover content will appear in PowerWash Simulator 2, or whether FuturLab's self-publishing setup opens the door to new partnership opportunities down the line.
