Sony has revealed the PS Plus Essential and Extra lineup for June 2026 ahead of schedule, sneaking the announcement in as part of their Days of Play 2026 campaign. According to Push Square, the games drop on June 2nd, so mark your calendars and clear some SSD space.
Push Square teased the lineup with a pointed "hope you've got friends" summary, which is either a sick burn directed at solo players or a very strong hint that the June selection is leaning hard into multiplayer territory. Either way, your social battery is about to get tested.
What's the deal with Days of Play?
Sony's annual Days of Play campaign is basically their version of a summer sale event - deals, promotions, and apparently early game reveals baked in as a bonus. Dropping the PS Plus lineup during the event is a smart move to generate hype, even if it does feel a little like a loot box reveal designed to get you to renew your subscription before it lapses.

Three games, one subscription, zero excuses
As is tradition, three titles are queued up for Essential subscribers this month. The games will be claimable starting June 2nd, giving you the rest of the month to add them to your library and then never actually play them - a time-honoured PlayStation tradition that we all participate in without shame.
Whether the lineup is a legendary S-tier drop or a "thanks I guess" filler month remains to be seen, but the multiplayer-focused framing suggests Sony is betting on at least one crowd-pleaser that's best experienced with a full squad. Fire up those Discord servers and dust off your headset mics, because June might actually require you to cooperate with other living human beings for once.
Details on the full titles are available over at Push Square.
