A physical edition of the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption could be hitting shelves as soon as next month, according to a retailer listing spotted by Push Square. Spanish store Wakkap has the boxed version listed with a release date of 7th May 2026 and a price of €32.90 (roughly $38).

The listing was originally picked up and reported by Portal Viciados before making wider rounds. Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed a physical release for the PS5 version of the original Red Dead Redemption, and no other retailers worldwide appear to have similar listings at this stage.

Why this matters

Physical media collectors have been waiting a long time for a disc version of this one. The PS5 upgrade for Red Dead Redemption launched digitally, and for players who prefer shelf copies or want something to resell down the line, a boxed release would be a welcome option.

The price point is also notable - at around $38, it sits below a standard full-price release, which makes sense for a game that originally launched back in 2010. It bundles with the Undead Nightmare DLC, so there is solid value here for anyone who missed it.

Take it with some caution

Single-retailer listings, especially from smaller regional stores, are worth treating as unconfirmed until Rockstar or a major distributor makes an official announcement. That said, retailer leaks like this have a fairly solid track record of pointing to real products, particularly when they include specific dates and pricing.

Rockstar has been quietly expanding its back catalog on modern hardware, and a physical PS5 release for the first Red Dead Redemption would fit neatly into that pattern. Whether this listing ends up being the real deal or jumps the gun on an official announcement remains to be seen - but May is not far off, so clarity should come soon either way.
