Square Enix has heard your cries and is dropping the Kingdom Hearts I-III Collection on PS5 and Switch 2 this October 8, priced at $75, according to GameSpot. That means the entire saga - yes, ALL of it - bundled up nice and tidy, ready to consume your soul like a Heartless at a buffet.

The timing is not exactly a coincidence. A new look at Kingdom Hearts 4 dropped during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, and Square Enix clearly wants you warmed up, emotionally wrecked, and fully caught up before the next chapter arrives to destroy you again.

Why this actually matters

Look, Kingdom Hearts has historically been a nightmare to get into. The series was scattered across roughly seventeen different platforms, including a phone, a Game Boy Advance, and what felt like a fever dream. Having I through III in one place is genuinely a big deal for newcomers and returning players alike.

Preorders are already live at Amazon for both PS5 and Switch 2 versions, with Best Buy and GameStop also in the mix if you prefer your retail experience with a side of loyalty points.

The real question nobody wants to answer

Will this collection include all the spin-offs and side games needed to actually understand the plot? Or will players still have to Google a 4-hour lore video just to figure out why a boy in oversized shoes is fighting alongside Donald Duck in a world made of darkness and feelings? We are still awaiting confirmation on the full contents of the package, so stay tuned.

Either way, if Kingdom Hearts 4 has you itching to revisit the series, this collection landing on Switch 2 and PS5 is basically the game handing you a Keyblade and saying "get grinding, Sora." October 8 cannot come fast enough.
