PC players have been hoarding No Rest for the Wicked like a rare legendary drop for nearly two years, but the party is finally opening up. According to Push Square, Moon Studios' grim action RPG is officially hitting PS5 this October alongside its full version 1.0 release.

From Early Access grind to full release boss fight

No Rest for the Wicked has been living in Steam Early Access since roughly 2024, and in that time it's stacked up praise like XP after a multiplayer session. The game is widely considered one of the most exciting action RPGs to come out of recent years - a bold statement in a genre that's been eating well lately.

This is the same Moon Studios that gave us the Ori series, so yes, these devs know a thing or two about making visually stunning games that will also make you question your life choices. Trading in the watercolor platforming vibes for a dark, punishing action RPG was a power move, and apparently it paid off.

Why PS5 players should actually be hyped

If you've been sitting on the sidelines watching PC players suffer beautifully through No Rest for the Wicked, October is your time to respawn into the action. Version 1.0 means the full, complete experience - no more Early Access asterisks, no more "this is subject to change" fine print.

The game being highly rated after two years of active Early Access development is honestly a good sign. That's not a quick cash-grab port - that's a studio that put in the work, listened to feedback, and is now shipping something it believes is ready for the main stage. PS5 players might actually be getting the definitive version of the game here.

October can't come fast enough - though knowing action RPGs, the game itself will make sure you suffer every step of the way. In the best possible sense, obviously.
