Capcom's mysterious sci-fi title Pragmata has already cracked the 1 million sales milestone, and the publisher wasted no time flexing about it. According to TechRaptor, Capcom officially announced the achievement shortly after launch - meaning players speedran buying this thing at an almost suspicious pace.
For those who somehow missed the hype train, Pragmata has been one of gaming's most enigmatic upcoming titles for years now. The game features a mysterious astronaut and a little girl navigating a dystopian future Earth, which is basically the recipe for "everyone loses their mind at the reveal trailer" - and apparently, it translated into cold, hard sales.

Hitting 1 million units this quickly is no small feat, especially for a new IP. In an industry where even beloved franchises sometimes struggle to find their footing, Pragmata essentially walked into the room and immediately started collecting a paycheck. Capcom, for their part, clearly knew they had something special cooking when they refused to let this one drop into the dreaded delay-to-oblivion graveyard.
This is a massive W for Capcom, who at this point have basically mastered the art of releasing bangers on repeat. Between the Resident Evil remakes, Monster Hunter Wilds, and now Pragmata, the publisher is basically playing the game on easy mode while the rest of the industry is stuck on a boss fight with no checkpoints.

The 1 million milestone also signals that players were genuinely hungry for something fresh and new rather than another sequel or live-service slot machine. Pragmata's unique premise clearly resonated enough to get people to actually open their wallets - which, given the current economic climate, might be the most impressive achievement of all.
Whether Pragmata has the legs to keep climbing those sales charts remains to be seen, but right now? Capcom is sitting comfortably in first place and probably already greenlit a sequel.
